Job Description

 

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and G/L, A/P, A/R structure
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
  • Assist the Controller and CFO in the daily banking requirements
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions
  • Supports budget and forecasting activities
  • Collaborates with the other managers to support overall department goals and objectives
  • Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions
  • Responds to inquiries from senior management and other managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like
  • Responsible for all financial reporting deadlines are met
  • Responsible for reconciling A/P and A/R accounts, intercompany accounts, etc.
  • Responsible for banking activities
  • Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
  • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed
  • Support the Controller and CFO with special projects and workflow process improvements
  • Other ad hoc duties as needed

 

Qualifications

 

  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese 
  • 5-7 years of combined accounting experience in logistics, ocean freight, trucking
  • Proven working experience as Accounting Manager
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Graduate or Professional qualifications such as CPA, MBA, ACCA preferred
  • SAP experience; advanced computer skills on MS Office
  • High attention to detail, with high level of ethics and integrity
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with an ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Ability to respond and adapt quickly to changing work situations and environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to travel up to 20% of the time
