Job Description

We are looking for a Human Resources Assistant who provides administrative support to the team on all recruiting and HR matters.  The main duties are to assist in HR activities including employment, compensation, employee relations, morale, benefits, and training as well as serve as a back up to the receptionist. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to join a dynamic company with great exposure to international as well as recycling business.

 Headquartered in City of Industry, CA, ACN has offices worldwide in the UK, the Netherlands, Japan, and China. In addition to our City of Industry location, America Chung Nam has an East Coast office located in Jersey City, NJ.

Duties are:

  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Conducts benefits enrollment for new employees.
  • Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains employee directories and listings.
  • Reconciles the benefits statements.
  • Updates and streamlines HR forms and documents
  • Updates employee change requests and processes paperwork.
  • Assists with processing of terminations.
  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Assists with various research projects and/or special projects.
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process.
  • Identifies opportunities to increase employee morale.
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested.
  • Makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions.
  • Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Prepares new employee files.
  • Prepares candidate follow up correspondences to candidates
  • Performs other duties as assigned and supports special projects as needed 

Qualifications

In order to be considered for the HR Assistant position, candidates must have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; or HR certification from an accredited program/college
  • 1+ years of administration and general Human Resources functions required
  • 1+ years of experience of full life-cycle recruiting. Experience recruiting for high level and/or technical positions preferred.

  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines, manage priorities and workflow
  • Ability to work independently and as a creative member of various teams
  • Proficient on MS Office, including Excel/Word; experience with Jobvite or other ATS a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels and exercise good judgment
  • Present a responsive and polished professional manner
  • Experience maintaining an accurate database of potential candidate resumes versus hiring needs
  • Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese or Spanish preferred
  • Honest, dependable, hard-working, detail-oriented, and proactive thinker with a friendly/ positive attitude
  • Relentless with follow-up skills
  • Work well in team environment while being held independently accountable
