AmaliTech is a not-for-profit business that aims to create 10,000 digital jobs in Africa. The business will provide a training and employment pathwayin the digital sector for disadvantaged youth in regions of great need. In times of disruptive technological change as well as high unemployment and high population growth in Africa, the initiative looks to create sustainable digital jobs – with a focus on secondary cities. Its training academies teach Africa's youth the necessary skills for IT and digital employment before the trainees are provided employment and growth opportunities through IT and digital Shared Service Centres that service international clients, primarily in Europe.

  • Job Location: Cologne, Germany
  • Working Hours: Full-time position (40h/ week)
  • Reports to: Founder & CEO
  • Salary: Competitive base salary plus commission

Key responsibilities include

  • Assist in the identification and screening of new partnership opportunities based on their business, technical and resource requirements
  • Identify and support opportunities to elevate AmaliTech in the wider corporate landscape
  • Manage internal and external requests for information, briefing materials and presentations related to corporate partners
  • Establish effective sales development strategies that meet partners and AmaliTech’s requirements and execute sales cycles
  • Provide input to other cross-functional departments such as marketing
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the market and visit clients

Qualifications

Requirements of the role

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in Business Administration or related field
  • Successful previous experience as a sales assistant or manager in dealing with B2B key accounts, consistently exceeding targets
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills with a track record of building mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders
  • Fluent proficiency in spoken and written German and English
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Broad technology experience
  • Positive and engaged manner, driven to meet high standards of delivery
  • Passionate about creating digital jobs in Africa
  • Thrives in a startup-environment with high levels of uncertainty and ambiguity
