AmaliTech is a not-for-profit business that aims to create 10,000 digital jobs in Africa. The business will provide a training and employment pathwayin the digital sector for disadvantaged youth in regions of great need. In times of disruptive technological change as well as high unemployment and high population growth in Africa, the initiative looks to create sustainable digital jobs – with a focus on secondary cities. Its training academies teach local youth the necessary skills for IT and digital employment before the trainees are provided employment and growth opportunities through IT and digital Shared Service Centres that service multinational clients, primarily in Europe. 

Job Description

As a Marketing Manager you will continue to build the AmaliTech brand and will be responsible for executing a defined marketing strategy.

Position details

  • Job Location: Cologne, Germany
  • Working Hours: Full-time position (40h/ week)
  • Reports to: Founder & CEO
  • Salary: Fair Remuneration

Key responsibilities include

  • Define and implement a comprehensive marketing & social media strategy in line with AmaliTech’s vision
  • Preparation & execution of marketing campaigns across digital & non-digital channels
  • Coordinate with local design agencies for successful campaign execution
  • Ensure brand consistency in communication across the different touchpoints
  • Create content to educate and build the brand’s awareness in the market

Qualifications

 Requirements of the role

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in Business Administration, Marketing or Communication 
  • Previous work experience (2-3 years) in various creative and operational marketing roles
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms and effective marketing techniques
  • Excellent written & verbal communication in English; knowledge of German is an advantage
  • Experience in managing and coordinating teams
  • Positive and engaged manner, driven to meet high standards of delivery
  • Passionate about creating digital jobs in Africa
  • Thrives in a startup-environment with high levels of uncertainty and ambiguity
  • Strong organization and reporting skills
