The Hyperion Planning (HP) Architect will provide an expert consultative component in our customer’s ongoing efforts to expedite the ROI, and maximize the effectiveness of their Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. In this role you will act as a business solution or technical systems leader to our client base, creating EPM and BI visions and solutions leveraging Oracle Hyperion tools.

A Hyperion Planning Architect has broad and deep expert product knowledge with EPM and BI solutions, has a track record of successful, large implementations, and is capable of creating and documenting estimates, designs, and plans for complex projects. In addition, an Architect is a thought leader in the industry and participates in marketing initiatives that promote the company’s brand through various types of social media and industry conferences.

As an employee of a virtual company, the Architect must be self-sufficient and proactive in managing their work, while maintaining appropriate communication and escalation to management. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing, creating, documenting, and implementing scalable solution and implementation plans.
• Provides technical expertise and hands on implementation work during critical project milestones.
• Leads presales activities as needed to develop solution offerings and presentations, and to demonstrate, present, and explain our services offerings to prospective clients.
• Has a deep understanding of  engagement methodology, core values, attitudes, business ethics, etc., and actively promotes them with other staff.
• Mentors and develops staff through coaching, recruiting, teamwork, self-directed learning and mentoring, and may also be responsible for managing medium engagement teams (up to 10 individuals).
• Assists in presales efforts to explain our services offerings to prospective clients.
• Identifies opportunities for additional consulting services.

This role requires a good attitude, strong business ethics, an analytical mind, the ability to think on your feet, and excellent customer skills.

• Bachelors or Master with 8+ years related work experience.
• Experience with planning, forecasting, and financial accounting processes.
• Possesses excellent presentation and communication skills and the ability to gain the confidence of business executives.
• Served in a leadership role on at least five Planning implementations utilizing related tools: Hyperion Planning (HP), Hyperion Essbase, Business Rules, Calculation Manager (CM), Essbase Load Rules, Essbase Calculation Scripts, MaxL, Data Relationship Management (DRM), Enterprise Performance Management Architect (EPMA), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Hyperion Application Link (HAL), Financial Reports (FR), SmartView, etc.
• Willingness to travel up to 100%.
