Full-Time, Part-Time and Per Diem Mental Health Worker Positions are currently available.


Job Description:


The Mental Health Worker is responsible for monitoring patients and provides basic nursing care to all patients under RN supervision, supports therapeutic milieu and ensures the safety and well-being of patients. Carry out general nursing assistance necessary to the treatment of adult patients as assigned.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Patient Care: Monitor patients' progress, communicate information regarding patients to other members of the treatment team. Encourages and facilitates patients' participation in therapeutic activities, supervises patients to ensure their safety and involvement in treatment and provide input during shift report.

Patient Attendant: Assists patients in carrying out activities of daily living. Maintains a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for patients.

Patient Records: Maintain patient, program, department, and related documentation. Carry out clerical and administrative assignments to support patient care and department and organization operations.

Training Activities: Complete orientation and competency assessments as required for position. Participate in activities enhancing professional growth and development.

Other Duties: Upholds the Organization's ethics and customer service standards. Performs related duties, as requested.

 

Qualifications

High school, GED, or equivalent required.

Psychology, Nursing, or other healthcare-related courses preferred but not required.

Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association

Prior healthcare experience or CNA preferred but not required.
