Alvarado Parkway Institute offers a comprehensive benefit package for our full time and part time employees including a generous PDO (Paid Days Off) accrual rate. Maintenance Worker Needed

Alvarado Parkway Institute is looking for a Maintenance Worker, this is a Full Time Temporary position.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carries out routine building maintenance tasks and repairs

• Runs cables through the ceiling.

• Patches wallpaper, floor tiles, and sheet rock.

• Performs routine tests of specialized equipment and documents results appropriately.

• Makes copies of organization keys.

• Replaces window glass as needed.

• Moves furniture, beds, and other equipment.

• Paints ceilings, walls, and door and window frames.

• Maintains organization grounds, including cleaning parking lot.

• Carries out routine plumbing and electrical maintenance and repair.

• Replaces water valve and water filters in faucets.

• Replaces, cleans, and unclogs floor drains and other assorted traps and drains as required.

• Installs light switches, repairs wires and outlets, and installs light bulbs and tubes in ceiling and lamps.

• Prepares facility for special functions, including setting up tables, chairs, and equipment.

 

 

Qualifications

High school, GED, or equivalent required.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience preferred.

Experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.

EPA 608 HVAC Certification is preferred but not required.
