Job Description

The Personnel Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing various aspects of human resources functions within the organization. They are responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training, employee relations, compliance, and other HR-related duties to support the organization's workforce.

  • Recruitment and Selection:

    • Develop job descriptions and job specifications.
    • Source and recruit candidates using various methods (e.g., job boards, social media platforms, networking).
    • Conduct interviews and facilitate hiring processes.
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure timely recruitment.
  • Employee Onboarding and Offboarding:

    • Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation programs.
    • Ensure new hires complete all necessary paperwork and understand company policies.
    • Handle exit interviews and manage offboarding processes.
  • Employee Relations:

    • Address employee relations issues and concerns.
    • Mediate conflicts and facilitate resolutions.
    • Promote a positive work environment and employee morale.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as an HR Specialist or similar role.
  • Knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
