Job Description
The Personnel Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing various aspects of human resources functions within the organization. They are responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training, employee relations, compliance, and other HR-related duties to support the organization's workforce.
Recruitment and Selection:
- Develop job descriptions and job specifications.
- Source and recruit candidates using various methods (e.g., job boards, social media platforms, networking).
- Conduct interviews and facilitate hiring processes.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure timely recruitment.
Employee Onboarding and Offboarding:
- Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation programs.
- Ensure new hires complete all necessary paperwork and understand company policies.
- Handle exit interviews and manage offboarding processes.
Employee Relations:
- Address employee relations issues and concerns.
- Mediate conflicts and facilitate resolutions.
- Promote a positive work environment and employee morale.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an HR Specialist or similar role.
- Knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
