Job Description
The Sales Operations Analyst plays a critical role in driving sales efficiency and effectiveness by leveraging data from ERP and CRM systems. This position supports the sales team by building reports and dashboards, analyzing performance metrics, maintaining data integrity, and optimizing processes across the sales cycle. Working closely with cross-functional teams—including sales, finance, marketing, and product management —the analyst ensures accurate reporting, streamlined workflows, and actionable insights that align with business goals.
The ideal candidate for a Sales Operations Analyst would be able to do the following:
- Sales Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track sales performance, pipeline health, and key KPIs.
- Analysis will be performed into different levels of sales region, country, key customers, dealer/distributor, product category and model
- Overlay order data with CRM data for forecasting at the various reporting levels
- Analyze sales trends and provide actionable insights to sales leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasting processes.
- ERP & CRM System Management
- Maintain data integrity across ERP (Oracle) and CRM (Sugar) platforms.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to improve system workflows and integrations.
- Support user training and documentation for sales reports, tools and systems.
- Process Optimization
- Identify and implement improvements in sales processes, including quote-to-cash, lead management, and order processing.
- Partner with finance, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
- Project Support
- Assist in system upgrades, data migrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Participate in cross-functional projects related to sales enablement and operational excellence.
Qualifications
For a candidate to be successful as a Sales Operations Analyst they must have:
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Mathematics, Finance, or related business field.
- 2+ years of experience in sales operations, business analysis, or systems support—preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in ERP and CRM systems; experience with Salesforce or Sugar and Oracle is a plus.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills; experience with SQL or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Oracle FDI, Qlik) preferred.
- Excellent communication – To create to the needs of the business as well as train/educate on new reports and analytics
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Innate curiosity to dive into details, ask questions, and challenge
