We are looking for Team Leader, Trustee Operations who will play a crucial role in managing assets in a trust, ensuring compliance, and leading a team to provide excellent service to clients with real estate assets held within a trust.
Job Description
What you will do
- Manage the Review and execution of foreclosure documents to ensure client SLAs are met
- Manage and oversee a team of Specialist, Trustee Services managing the assets held within the trust, maintaining accurate and detailed records of all real estate transactions, income, expenses, and other financial activities related to the trust's real estate holdings
- Hire, train, and mentor team members, as well as setting team goals and objectives
- Interact with clients and beneficiaries to understand their needs and ensure proper management of their trustee assets
- Manage the receipt/disbursement of 3rd party sales
- Ensure that all real estate activities and transactions are compliant with relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including property taxes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations
- Provide regular reports to the trust beneficiaries, informing them of the trust's financial status, property performance, and any important developments related to the real estate assets
- Manage a team of Trustees who are authorized to sell real estate assets, often times at auction on behalf of the trust, following the guidelines established in the trust agreement and obtaining beneficiary consent when necessary
- Keep the team updated on changes in laws, regulations, and best practices, providing ongoing training to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to improve their effectiveness in trustee operations
- Additional duties as indicated
- Initiating foreclosure procedure on default loans and completing the foreclosure as per the state requirements.
- Obtaining all the required Pre-Foreclosure notices and verifying the validity of the documents.
- Researching the title search documents obtained from county office records provided by searcher (Title Abstracter) to ensure that the property and the title does not have any issues in order to proceed with the foreclosure.
- Reviewing the borrower details in order to determine whether the borrower is falling under any state regulated protections which in turn will have an effect on the Foreclosure
- Ensuring regular compliance testing or auditing on internal mortgage processes
Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years experience in voice / semi voice Mortgage process
- Must have good analytical and cognitive skills
- Must have an eye for attention to detail
- Knowledge about Foreclosure process
- Strong communication skills and Good interpersonal skills with an ability to understand the customer’s problem and solving them
- Experience managing a team of Trustee Specialists
- Experience with Mortgage Trustee, Foreclosure, or Bankruptcy
- Strong leadership, communication, legal knowledge, and financial expertise
