We are looking for a Compliance Specialist to provide compliance support in our real estate solutions group. This is a great time to join the team and be a part of a growing and stable organization.

Job Description

WHAT YOU GET TO DO  

  • Research transaction-level details in connection with regulatory inquiries, analyzing transactions for areas of concern or improvement, developing process-level solutions 

  • Validate current mapped underwriter title insurance rates and tables applicable to the operation of a multistate title agency and settlement services company 

  • Monitor and test operational procedures to ensure there are no gaps in current processes 

  • Become familiar on all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations that pertain to title insurance and escrow  

  • Work as a back-up to the Change Control Board coordinator  

  • Work as a back-up to the Title Claims Specialist 

  • Assist with audit preparations, including SSAE 18, SOX, Underwriter, Regulatory and client audits.  

  • Project manage action plans to completion 

Qualifications

WHAT ABOUT YOU?  You have... 

  • Compliance and or audit experience, with experience reading, interpreting, tracking and administrating regulatory requirements, internal and external guidelines and contracts  

  • Experience working in the real estate industry creating processes and controls to ensure compliance  

  • Exposure to any combination of RESPA, FHA, GLBA and State Real Estate Regulatory requirements  

  • Experience researching and implementing procedures and controls to address laws and regulations  

  • Experience or working knowledge of title claims 

  • Experience or working knowledge of standard operating procedures for title and escrow 

  • Experience with Excel 

  • Experience or working knowledge of title insurance rate calculations
