1.   Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds
2.  Basic understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
3.  Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as JQuery, ReactJS, AngularJS, BackboneJS
4.  Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
5.  Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
6.  Familiarity with JavaScript module loaders, such as Require.js and AMD
7. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as {{Git / SVN}}
