Job Description

  • Oversee the setup and fulfillment of new mortgage loans submitted to the processing department
  • Work directly with both internal and external customers to provide excellent customer service and meet all processing steps and process requirements
  • Appropriately resolve issues and understand when it is necessary to escalate to senior management
  • Actively participate in Calibration calls with clients to ensure that their needs are being met and that we are informing them of areas of opportunity
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Fannie, Freddie, FHA, VA, USDA and Non-QM origination guidelines
  • Train and lead a team of processing associates. Ensure continuing education for the processing team on internal and client-related policy and procedure implementations and changes
  • Manage processing pipeline maintenance and equitable delegation to the processing team
  • Manage team level metric reporting to effectively track the performance of the aligned functional area
  • Utilize decision and reporting tools to minimize variability, improve quality and maximize profitability of the business
  • Interact effectively with senior management, other departments and customers. Build and maintain strong relationship with end-client executive management to ensure customer happiness and fulfillment
  • Facilitate floor support and query resolution
  • Perform sample QCs and share feedback with the team
  • Handle  loan-level escalations and issues
  • Counsel and coach processing team on best practices, error resolution, and continued training and growth. Conduct team huddles and calibrations

Qualifications

  • Prior experience with hands-on residential mortgage loan processing
  • Prior experience working in a customer centric environment which includes direct interaction with clients
  • Current with residential mortgage processing regulations such as SAFE Act, TRID, Investor guidelines, etc
  • Ability to properly handle confidential information and be a point of escalation
  • Candidate with team management experience preferred
