• Design, develop, and implement system components (back-end) based on the analysis of the customer's functional and non-functional requirements. 
• Collaborate as a member of a dedicated Scrum team to develop features and services. 
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for bugs and other development issues. 
• Maintain segments of the entire codebase (Database, Model, UI, extensions, etc.). 
• Write and update technical documentation. 
• Optimize the software from performance, security, and quality perspectives (back-end). 
• Administer/configure and deploy Java EE application servers (mainly JBoss, Apache) and software releases.

• Min. 6 years of professional hands-on experience in software development in Object-Oriented programming, specifically on JAVA EE technologies (EJB, JPA, Web Services, WebSockets, RESTful interfaces, etc.).
• Java Certified Programmer’s Certificate (minimum Java 8) or equivalent 
• Advanced knowledge of JBoss 7 EAP Application Server, RedHat Enterprise Linux, Apache Web server, PostgreSQL database, and Jackrabbit.
• Hands-on experience in working with Maven, Git, JUnit, Jenkins, and IntelliJ IDEA
• Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with Azure DevOps.
• Experience working in Scrum/Agile
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering (Master/PhD is a plus)

Nice to have

• Personal Security Clearance at EU-CONFIDENTIAL level or above.
• Experience in NoSQL databases like e.g. MongoDB.
• Experience with HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, or Angular.
• Experience in Azure Cloud
