Job Description

Oracle Fusion Middleware Administrator

The candidate will be a senior level resource providing Oracle Fusion Middleware technical leadership.

Service delivery expectations: Leadership (Senior resources)

  • Provide strategic guidance for Oracle Fusion Middleware Hosting services as required.
  • Manage projects for Oracle Fusion Middleware Hosting services.
  • Assist the Service Owner and Team Lead in the delivery of Service Delivery Agreements (SDAs) to our customers.
  • Assist with the coordination, preparation, presentation and implementation of proposals and projects linked to the SDAs.
  • Be a go-to expert for troubleshooting Oracle Fusion Middleware related issues.
  • Liaise with Partner Organizations on a service management basis.

Service Management: 

  • Manage, prioritize and take ownership of tasks assigned to Oracle Fusion Middleware team as required o includes service requests, change requests, incidents, project tasks and others as required.
  • Monitor and take ownership of tasks assigned to Oracle Fusion Middleware team ensuring completion within SLA targets.

Technical Support

  • Provide support for all Oracle Fusion Middleware Hosting SDAs.
  • Design, install, configure and support Oracle Fusion Middleware infrastructure
  • Support migration to and operation of Oracle Cloud and related cloud technologies
  • Assist in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of Oracle Fusion Middleware automation tasks using Ansible and related technologies.
  • Perform Oracle Fusion Middleware environment clones.
  • Provide on-call support (either on-site or remotely using VPN connectivity) outside normal working hours as required on a rotational basis.

Other Oracle Fusion Middleware administration tasks as required:

  • Co-ordinate with Oracle Support for resolution of problems and incidents.
  • Perform troubleshooting and performance tuning activities as required.
  • Apply Oracle Fusion Middleware patches, updates and perform upgrades.
  • Assist in the planning and running of disaster recovery tests.
  • Perform capacity management and reporting as required.
  • Produce documentation as required.
  • Perform support activities during planned maintenance windows outside of normal working hours.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

The resource MUST have the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive Oracle Fusion Middleware administration experience, including upgrades and patching
  • Good understanding of one or more cloud services - Oracle (OCI), Amazon (AWS), Microsoft (Azure), Google (GCP), etc.
  • Familiar with Oracle Cloud products such as EPM Planning, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Integration Cloud, etc.

Extensive knowledge and support experience of:

Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)

Hyperion (EPM) o Oracle Flexcube (FLEXCUBE)

Oracle SOA Suite products 11g and 12c

  • BPEL Process Manager
  • Oracle Service Bus
  • Oracle Event Processing
  • Oracle Business Rules
  • Oracle Web Service Manager 
  • Oracle Business Activity Monitoring
  • Oracle B2B and Managed File Transfer

Oracle WebCentre Suite components

  • Content Management (ECM)
  • Imaging and Process Management (IPM)
  • Enterprise Capture (EC)
  • Oracle Inbound Refinery (IBR)
  • Oracle Universal Record Management (URM)
  • Forms Recognition (WFR)

Weblogic.

  • Oracle HTTP Server (OHS)
  • Oracle Access Management (OAM)
  • Oracle Identity Management (OIM)
  • OBIA environments configured with both Oracle E-Business and Oracle PeopleSoft.

Experience in automating Oracle Fusion Middleware activities

Good scripting skills using Linux shell, Oracle SQL and/or other automation tools.

Minimum of 10 years experience for senior resources.

The resource SHOULD have the following skills and experience:

  • Oracle database.
  • Experience in integrating with Oracle Cloud products such as Taleo, EPM Planning, Oracle Integration Cloud, etc.
  • Experience in managing one or more of the following FMW applications: o Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) o Oracle Internet Directory (OID) o Oracle BI Publisher (BI Publisher).
