Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage all aspects of payroll, including calculating deductions, processing new hires and terminations, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and timely payroll records and reports.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee questions about payroll and benefits.
  • Tracking annual and sick leave entitlement-request sick leave certificates if needed.
  • Managing the compensation of benefits 
  • Assisting with employee onboarding
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, including tax and labour laws.
  • Keep up to date with changes in payroll regulations and adjust payroll systems and processes accordingly.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Prepare relevant documents and process Work Permit for employees
  • Coordinate with government institutions for initial and renewal of work permit
  • Communicate with employees to prepare required documents and undertake required steps to stay on track and timeline for their work permit
  • Solve problems and issues that come up related to work permit
  • Ensure that work permits are processed within the deadline and monitor the progress.
  • Assist with relocation of employees and their families.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in payroll administration or related field
  • Experience with payroll processing software and familiarity with payroll taxes and regulations
  • Experience with work permits and renewals
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with employees about payroll and benefits
  • Experience with HRIS systems and payroll software is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
