Job Description

Junior sportsbook trader and customer support’s position is the “front line” in terms of
communication, response and resolution of all clients’ queries and demands (B2B) in order to
maintain the high standards of customer service. As a part of the team you will be
responsible for the risk management by following and adopting Altenar's policies and rules for
sportsbook events offered. Under the guidelines of senior supervisors, you will be responsible
for the handling of odds compilation and prices, so they are up to date and aligned with
fast moving competition. Client’s betting pattern and profiling understanding is another key
aspect of the job role, along with liability management and report analysis.
 

In order to gain product knowledge, it is expected for junior trader to join the Trading and
Support department for a period of 3 months, which would be considered as training

 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor sports events and results
  • Monitor incoming bets
  • Market and event settlement
  • Monitor customers, limits and betting patterns
  • Perform targeted betting analysis
  • Analyze competitor's activity and proceed to critical adjustments
  • Support and contact key clients
  • Understand and fulfil customer's promotional bonus offers
  • Identify and manage customer technical issues promptly in order to avoid escalation on the IT department
  • Liaised with other departments (Fraud, Finance, IT, Marketing)

Qualifications

 

  • Good knowledge of sports betting
  • Good knowledge in both live and pre-live trading
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in Greek Language
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain things clearly in written
  • Strong Mathematical ability
  • Able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and public holidays
  • Able to multitask and work under pressure
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability
