Job Description

We are currently seeking a full-time Linguistic Project Manager to fill an internal position in our office in Seoul, South Korea. The candidate will be in charge of managing and coordinating the localization of video game titles from our clients and partners. The role requires constant liaising with a variety of high-profile managers, developers and vendors in order to guarantee the delivery of projects within a specified deadline and budget.

The Project Manager will work on a wide range of projects for all platforms, including titles from very prestigious clients along with an in-house team of Translators and Coordinators and a Freelance Translator network.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing & coordinating multilingual localization projects from beginning to end
  • Connecting with game developers, publishers, freelancers for the Asian market
  • Translating and proofreading video game-related content into your native language
  • Creating and updating guides, databases, and terminology lists
  • Preparing quotes and purchase orders
  • File analysis and preparation
  • Supervising internal and external teams during and between projects
  • Controlling quality as well as compliance with guidelines and reference material
  • Managing external resources

Qualifications

 

  • Outstanding skills in Korean
  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written
  • Experience in translation coordination or project management
  • Translation experience required, language degree a plus
  • Experience with audio projects and/or LQA testing is advantageous
  • Ability to work independently while being a strong part of a team
  • Very strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and creative
  • Knowledge of translation tools: MS Office, QA and CAT tools (preferably memoQ)
  • Passion for video games
