$45000-$54500 per year

Job Summary:

The Event Assistant will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of events. This position involves assisting with logistics, vendor management, and on-site operations to ensure the success of events. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Coordination: Assist in the planning and execution of events, including corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, fundraisers, and other special occasions.
  • Logistics Management: Coordinate event logistics such as venue setup, catering, transportation, and audiovisual needs.
  • Vendor Liaison: Communicate with vendors to confirm bookings, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of services.
  • On-Site Support: Provide hands-on support during events, including registration, guest assistance, troubleshooting, and monitoring schedules.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain event calendars, prepare materials, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Marketing Assistance: Help with event promotions, social media campaigns, and creating materials such as invitations or signage.
  • Post-Event Activities: Gather feedback, assist in creating post-event reports, and support efforts to improve future events.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite) is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems efficiently.
  • Creative and detail-oriented mindset.
