Sonar Spark is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Public Relations Assistant to join our Los Angeles team. In this role, you will support our public relations efforts by coordinating communication strategies, assisting with media outreach, and ensuring seamless execution of campaigns. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to grow in the PR field and contribute to impactful projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other promotional materials.
  • Coordinate communication between clients and media outlets.
  • Maintain and update media contact lists and databases.
  • Monitor and track media coverage, compiling reports for clients.
  • Support event planning and execution, including press conferences and client events.
  • Conduct research to identify trends and opportunities for client visibility.
  • Provide administrative support to the PR team, including scheduling meetings and managing deadlines.

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with public relations concepts and tools is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred but not required.
