We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Public Relations Assistant to join our team in Columbus, OH. As a Public Relations Assistant at Sharpcontra, you will work closely with our PR team to help manage and enhance the company’s public image, supporting efforts in media relations, communication strategies, and event planning.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting and editing press releases, articles, and other PR materials.
- Support the PR team in preparing presentations and communication strategies.
- Coordinate and assist with media outreach, interviews, and press events.
- Monitor media coverage and track public perception of the company.
- Help organize events, conferences, and press conferences.
- Maintain media lists and assist with PR campaign logistics.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistency in messaging and branding.
Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with PR software is a plus.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate new ideas.
- A degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in PR or related fields is a plus but not required.
