Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Communications Officer to join our Kansas City team. In this role, you will oversee the development and implementation of internal and external communication strategies to ensure our messaging aligns with organizational goals. This is a pivotal position that requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to build meaningful relationships across teams and with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement communication plans to support organizational initiatives.
• Draft clear and engaging content, including press releases, newsletters, reports, and presentations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and public relations efforts.
• Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all communications channels.
• Collaborate with leadership to support internal communications and promote employee engagement.
• Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication campaigns, providing recommendations for improvement.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a communications or PR role (3+ years preferred).
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Familiarity with content creation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Canva).
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
