Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Facility Manager with specialized Electrical Engineering expertise.

Operating within our Total Real Estate Solutions framework, the ideal candidate will serve as the corporate Subject Matter Expert (SME) for electrical engineering within the facilities management function, providing technical guidance on operational matters, and engineering solutions.

The candidate will also play a key part in leading Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs), conduct high-level project feasibility studies, and manage our multidisciplinary technical teams and specialist vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical Subject Matter Expert for electrical engineering and related building services within the facilities management function.
  • Provide technical advice, guidance, and recommendations on electrical systems, equipment, installations, and facility infrastructure.
  • Review technical issues, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive solutions.
  • Formulate corrective action plans based on audit finding metrics and data.
  • Champion Facility Condition Assessments across assigned facilities.
  • Inspect and assess the condition, performance, functionality, and reliability of electrical, HVAC, and associated building systems.
  • Identify defects, deficiencies, operational risks, and potential failure points.
  • Provide technical recommendations and prioritization of remedial, replacement, and lifecycle interventions.
  • Preparation of FCA reports, technical findings, cost estimates, and asset renewal recommendations.
  • Provide expert technical input for asset lifecycle planning and capital expenditure decisions.
  • Conduct and coordinate technical feasibility studies for facility projects, upgrades, modifications, and engineering interventions.
  • Assess proposed engineering solutions based on technical viability, cost, operational impact, safety, sustainability, and lifecycle considerations.
  • Conduct technical appraisals of existing and proposed electrical and HVAC systems.
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of electrical and HVAC operatives to ensure effective delivery of planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Enforce strict adherence to ISO 9001:2015 quality management protocols across all field work.
  • Champion zero-fatality Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) on-site workplace cultures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive engineering experience, with at least 3 years directing integrated technical FM environments.
  • Should preferably hold at least one of the following active credentials: COREN, IFMA, PMP etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC chillers, AHUs, large power distribution arrays, automated Building Management Systems (BMS), and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Additional Information

  • Advanced Excel proficiency (vlookups, pivot tables, data modeling, and formulas for budgeting/forecasting).
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word for technical documentation, PowerPoint for executive reporting, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Meticulous attention to detail, clear communication and analytical problem-solving.
