Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all costs related to construction, renovation, and maintenance projects across our real estate portfolio. The Quantity Surveyor will ensure projects are delivered within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender documents for construction and facility improvement projects.
- Conduct cost analysis and feasibility studies for proposed real estate developments and facility upgrades.
- Monitor project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
- Evaluate contractor quotations and negotiate pricing to achieve cost efficiency.
- Manage procurement processes for materials and subcontractors.
- Prepare interim valuations, variation claims, and final accounts.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and verify work done for payment certification.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and facility managers on project planning and execution.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.
- Prepare cost reports and provide financial advice on project expenditures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quantity surveying, preferably within real estate development, construction, or facility management.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation, contract administration, and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, construction cost management software, and BOQ preparation.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and financial management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Membership or registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., NIQS or similar).
- Experience working on residential estates, commercial buildings, or mixed-use developments.
