Job Description
- Maintain the mechanical, ventilation, electrical, and plumbing systems and equipment to ensure they are in optimal condition to support the daily and emergency activities of the project
- Provide thought leadership on all FM service delivery and act as a subject matter expert for service delivery for a total FM offer
- Driving service excellence through service delivery and innovation while maintaining compliance with health, safety, and sustainability activities
- Plan, develop, and manage appropriated and contract budgets and provide long-range planning and cost-saving proposals
- Ensure PPMs are conducted and properly coordinated
- Oversee and facilitate toolbox meetings on-site
- Oversee the water and sewage treatment plant processes to ensure proper hygiene
- Direct the installation, maintenance, and repair of facility machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems
- Prepare, plan, and manage facility operations and maintenance reports and budgets
- Prepare monthly expenditure forecasts for the contract manager
- Manage unplanned maintenance for the facility as required within the shortest possible time.
- Follow-up on timelines to ensure periodic services such as generator and elevator servicing, facility
- Oversee special projects-related duties such as office construction, refurbishments, and vendor bidding processes.
- Execute other assignments as assigned by the Contract Manager
Qualifications
- First degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and any other related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an MEP specialist
- Extensive working knowledge of utility power systems maintenance
- Ability to conduct project cost forecasting and to write progress reports including project histories, problems, recommended solutions, and justifications for recommendations
- COREN/NSE corporate membership is an added advantage
- Effective communication with key stakeholders
- Proven ability to conduct due diligence to make challenging decisions with confidence
- Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize multiple deadlines and projects
- NB: Only candidates residing in Bonny Island will be considered
