Job Description

  • Design structural components for large-scale projects, including analyzing survey reports, topographical maps, zoning restrictions, and client requirements to ensure specifications meet project goals
  • Review blueprints, plans, and change orders to verify the structural integrity of materials and designs, perform complex calculations and use modeling methods to ensure correct results
  • Create structural models by using computer-aided design software
  • Measure loads and pressures caused by environmental or human influence
  • Consult with and provides guidance to project stakeholders and managerial staff regarding engineering requirements for the construction of various designs, modifications, and structural repairs.
  • Ensure construction projects are executed in a safe, timely, and sustainable manner
  • Carry out technical and feasibility studies that satisfy technical specifications
  • Determine construction costs, local and professional building regulations, environmental impacts, and other factors that can affect project implementation.
  • Direct and supervise all workers for all civil infrastructure works across our project.
  • Use Computer-aided design software and drawing tools to accurately render and communicate designs; plans and design other necessary and related systems and structures 
  • Interpret and explain plans and other construction drawings to workers, stakeholders, etc.
  • Use AutoCAD and other drafting software programs to create 2D design documents and 3D models for individual components and overall structural plans according to client needs and project requirements for deliverables
  • Assess the strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel by testing materials and soil.
  • Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations.
  • Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
  • Direct projects in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
  • Develop and implement quality control schemes
  • Monitor progress and compile reports on project status
  • Evaluate construction methods and determine the cost-effectiveness of plans, enforce HSE implementation, etc.
  • Monitor project progress and ensures design specifications, safety, and sanitation standards are met.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in an architectural or engineering environment
  • Proficiency in the use of computer-aided design is a must-have
  • Very Decisive with excellent critical thinking skills
  • Good written and verbal communication abilities, including preparing and giving presentations
  • Possession of at least one professional certification such as PMP or COREN
  • Expert experience in project management.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Three-dimensional conceptual skills.
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
