Alpha Industries is seeking an entry-level/junior Graphic Designer to assist our Creative Services team 3 days a week for a 6 month period. The responsibilities include assisting the Creative Department with retouching photos, creating and developing new design concepts, graphics and layouts. The candidate will work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software. The candidate will assist with creating and assembling images and graphics to produce designs for websites, print media, product design and displays. The successful candidate must be highly organized with strong computer skills; ability to take direction well, learn quickly and have a friendly demeanor. 

This is a paid temporary position and the schedule and hours are flexible. The candidate will be working for 3 days/week (24 hours/week) . The position is based in New York, NY (remote to start). The position will start in February 2021 and end in July 2021. This is a Part-time/ Temporary position.  The hourly pay rate will be $16 - $19 based on experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work alongside the creative team in ensuring our brand vision and voice are consistent across all platforms.
• Concept & develop graphics and animations that are used throughout Alpha Industries ecomm, in-store & social media
• Support on wireframing, updating website content, and UI/UX development. 
• Curating design inspiration and images for moodboards and content
• Monitor and report competitive brand information.
• Mock up and design internal adhoc requests.

ABOUT YOU

• Entry level experience working in a digital creative environment preferably fashion related.
• Knowledge in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects), and Sketch
• Understands Alpha Industries brand and tone of voice.
• Proficient working with Google Drive, Sheets, and Doc.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills in presenting ideas.
• Must be able to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced environment – ability to work on multiple projects and tasks at once.
• Flexible schedule to meet daily deadlines and help with production/shoot days.
• Strong interest in fashion and lifestyle branding
• Collaborative, proactive, and energetic with ability to produce quality work on time. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Currently pursuing a BA/BS or equivalent in Design or related field from an accredited institution
• At least 0-1 years of previous experience
• Candidate must be able to commit to 3 work days a week
