Our battery energy storage makes energy more affordable, cleaner and accessible for everyone so that every factory, business and home to reduce their energy bills by up to 50% while providing flexibility to the grid to lower costs and accelerate decarbonisation.
Our first system, the Allye Max, is an innovative 320kWh mobile energy storage system using repurposed electric vehicle batteries. It is two-times cheaper and has 60% lower embedded CO2 than other similar systems. Our teams are developing the hardware and software solutions to transform our energy is managed at the grid-edge.
Job Description
Are you a Mechanical of Electrical engineering student, recent graduate or apprentice who has practical hands-on experience with software, mechanical and electrical design? Do you love DIY, building and prototyping in your spare time? Ideally you are part of your university’s Formula student team or have worked on projects related to automotive, motorsport or energy storage; you want to demonstrate your mechanical design skills; and want to work in a fast-paced start up environment.
This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing London based start-up that is creating an all-new range of battery storage systems for both commercial and consumer markets. You will be responsible for the design, build and test of our energy storage systems, liaising with our designers and engineers on the architecture layout.

Qualifications
Must-haves
- Hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical or automotive engineering
- Interest in computer science and software development, code in spare time
- Experience working with electrical and mechanical components
- Ability to work proactively with minimal support using a logical approach in an environment with minimal documented processes
- Must be self-motivated and an effective team player
- Eligible to work in the UK.
Nice-to-haves
- A basic understanding of High Voltage vehicle systems and safety.
- Experience in a Formula student team
- Practical project experience involving soldering, fabrication, harnessing...
- Excellent CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred).
- Knowledge of micro-controllers and electrical system wiring
- Knowledge of battery system technology including cell chemistries, BMS etc.
