An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join our team based in Naval Base. 

Reporting directly to our AWESOME Chief Financial Officer, this role will give you plenty to sink your teeth into in a supportive environment. 

The successful applicant should possess strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, great time management skills and a positive can-do attitude.  

Key Duties include but are not limited to:

• Co-ordination of end of month processes and reporting
• Issue, entry and review on monthly cost to complete reporting
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Labour Costing, reporting and analysis
• Calculation and lodgement of statutory taxes
• Management of the asset register system, to include reconciling, updating and maintaining the register of assets held
• Management of the inventory system
• Processing of journals
• WIP analysis
• Assist with year-end audit requests and reports
• Support CFO as required.
• Debtor claim issuing and management
• General  duties as required.

You will demonstrate:

• 5+ years’ experience as an Accountant, CA/CPA qualified or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ minimum experience working in a similar role within mining, engineering, construction, contracting or similar preferred
• Be highly motivated, enjoy a busy working schedule and be comfortable dealing with a high volume workload
• Display flexibility, initiative and the ability to work autonomously, as well as integrate with the rest of the Accounts team
• High attention to detail with sound commercial acumen
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Experience with Pronto is advantageous
