BOOKKEEPER

 

Wage Status: Hourly

 

OVERVIEW: The bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining management’s books.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Conduct all business in accordance with Allied’s policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other Federal and State laws.

 

·         Demonstrate ability to understand financial goals, operate asset in owners’ best interest in accordance with policies and procedures manual.

·         Complete bank reconciliations.

·         Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.

  • Assist accounts payable if needed.

·         Maintain an orderly accounting filing system

·         Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management

·         Ensures that new vendor packets are completed properly and sent to corporate.

·         Audit and record vendor and property certificates of insurance and W-9 forms.

·         Enter new vendors into accounting software.

Qualifications

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

  • Two to three years in bookkeeping

Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with OneSite is a plus
  • Excellent management and communication skills
  • Excellent skills using MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Quickbooks, and the Internet
  • Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
  • Able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs, push, pull, reach, and stand for extended periods of time
