Job Description
We are seeking a direct marketing associate who is as passionate about the environment as they are about marketing to help support our ambitious growth objectives.
You will be reporting directly to the Director of Marketing to develop and manage our email and SMS marketing program, as well as support the marketing team with other exciting projects as required. You will collaborate with the Customer Service team on direct communications with customers, and with the Product Development team on UX and design.

Duties and responsibilities:
Identify target audience and grow our email/SMS list
Organize and segment the email & SMS database for lead nurturing
Create mobile-friendly email templates
Design and implement an automated email & SMS flow
Design and implement direct email & SMS marketing campaigns
Write email newsletters in alignment with the broader content calendar
Proofread emails & SMS for clarity, grammar and spelling
Apply personalization and advanced features to emails and website
Ensure emails & SMS follow industry policies and best practices
Take steps to minimize unsubscribes
Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements
Report on sales revenue generated from email & SMS marketing efforts
Launch and manage a customer referral program
Support the product development team with website UX and design improvements
Support the marketing director with other projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as an email or direct marketing specialist
Hands on experience with HTML and email marketing tools
Proficiency in marketing automation technology
Excellent written + verbal communication and copywriting skills
Knowledge of Google Analytics
Familiarity with analytical and database tools
Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Highly organized
Self starter, who can work independently with minimal supervision
Passion for environmental sustainability
College degree in Marketing or relevant field preferred
