Franklin Animal Clinic is a well-established, progressive, fast paced small animal practice located in Franklin, IN. We see dogs, cats, rodents, ferrets, rabbits, and sugar gliders!

Our hours of operation are:

  • Monday to Saturday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
  • Sunday: 8:00am - 2:00pm

Job Description

  • Providing meticulous care for hospitalized patients and boarding animals, including medication administration and specialized feeding.
  • Observing and reporting any changes in animal behavior or health status to veterinary staff promptly, and conducting comprehensive recordkeeping of medications, diets, and animal health status.
  • Maintaining stringent cleanliness standards through thorough cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of facilities and surgical instruments.
  • Ensure optimal inventory management by diligently restocking hospital supplies.
  • Upholding the highest standards of animal care and welfare while supporting veterinary operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in cleaning protocols and efficient use of cleaning equipment.
  • Physical capability to perform moderately heavy labor, including handling large dogs and managing substantial weights of pet supplies.
  • Knowledge of safe animal restraint techniques.
  • Ability to learn to administer medications and to recognize abnormal conditions.
  • Strong comprehension skills to accurately interpret and execute both verbal and written instructions.
  • Exceptional patience and empathy when caring for sick, injured, or distressed animals.
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of the job.
