In the Consumer area, we pursue the best possible customer experience, starting from main site visits, through browsing, searching and comparing listings, to the purchasing process and post-purchase services on all platforms (web, mobile web, iOS and Android). We are responsible for external traffic that involves thousand of requests per second. We have hundreds of millions of records in our database, microservice architecture on the back-end, and micro-frontends.
We conduct dozens of experiments, test hundreds of variants, analyse results and draw conclusions that we convert into specific tasks. We systematically take care of the fast and smooth operations of our sites. We monitor and solve issues related to efficiency, developing an optimum code to provide clients with the best user experience at Allegro.
We have nearly 30 teams made up of engineers that have various skills. We also cooperate with designers, researchers and analysts.
Team Manager in Allegro is a person who leads the development team, with whom he creates new, ambitious and complex projects. As a Manager, you connect two worlds, technological one (architecture design, writing code) and the world related to team management and taking care of the development of team members.
We are looking for people who:
Are experts in software development and architecture
Are able and willing to take care of the team, have excellent communication skills and value the approach of 'servant leadership'
Have ability to manage and built relationship in a team Are not afraid of taking tough decisions
Are able to listen, motivate, providing constructive feedback and choose adequate development efforts for their team
Have experience in leading teams working in agile methodologies
Are able to work closely with business, are able to combine technical and business issues
Are advanced in JVM technologies and are willing to learn new Expect work that has a deeper meaning (not just "management commissioned"), and want to enjoy the results
Want to be proud of the code they create
Are willing to accept feedback and share knowledge during code reviews
Are able to look for effective solutions to user requirements
Want to keep growing and updating their knowledge
Know English languages on at least B2 level
