Currently we are on a mission to make on-line shopping easier for everyone, offering the best prices, convenience and full transaction security.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to develop our International Sellers business. Allegro is expanding its offering to consumers in Poland and wants to offer products/brands not only from local partners, but also from international sources. This products and brands will enlarge our offering and offer to Polish consumers access to all they need in one place. 

We plan to source attractive products from Western Europe, Turkey and Asian markets. Currently Allegro offers ca. 250 mln offers on its platform and we plan to grow this number 2-3 times over next years. This role will be critical to attract and board international partners on Allegro and expand our offering.

In this role, you will be responsible for International Seller business development on Allegro. You will focus on improving building the registration and onboarding processes for international merchants, hunting and onboarding international merchants on Allegro to generate incremental GMV in this business segment. You will be responsible for defining our international sellers strategy and implementing it to become a scalable business. You will define the international sellers offering in terms of Pricing, Selection/assortment needed and Delivery/Customer experience. Also your responsibility will be for both large, enterprise partners, intermediaries/integrators and small merchant onboarding. You will need to build and coach your team and cooperate across Allegro (Commerce, Tech, Legal, Customer service).

Your Future Challenge:

Your challenge will be to scale International sellers business. This challenge will be both strategic and operational in nature. You will need to define: 

  • the strategy/ plan to ensure that international partners can use Allegro like local partners with focus on self-service

  • Define and implement key improvements in merchant processes: account registration, offer loading, offer management, payments, promotion tools, delivery/logistics, customer service

  • Identify sources of international partners and execute commercial activities. This will be: enterprise partners/marketplace, large brands/vertical players, small ecommerce merchants active on marketplaces

  • Cooperate with technology when winning and onboarding partners

  • Build the awareness of Allegro in key markets to attract partners – WE, Asia, Turkey. By participating in trade shows, merchant visits, etc

  • Build a network of partners facilitating cooperation with Allegro locally: payment partners, logistics, translation, technical integration

  • Cooperate with Business Verticals to identify key gaps in assortment

  • Manage the KAM/AM team responsible for international sellers

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Achieving planned number of new international merchants and GMV on Allegro

  • Improving and monitoring key merchant processes including:

    • Hunting by KAM/AM

    • Registration on Allegro

    • Education on “how to sell on Allegro”

    • Boarding products on Allegro including translation

    • Monitoring GMV performance

    • Monitoring quality of merchants and their offer

  • Implementing enterprise partners including large vertical players and marketplace

  • Selecting and implementing partners for integration, translation and other services relevant for international merchants

  • Leading in cooperation with Tech the platform development to meet needs of international sellers

We are looking for people who:

  • Have 10+ years of experience in building and developing sales teams to deliver together ambitious goals

  • Are familiar with B2B international cooperation

  • If have previous experience in e-commerce/retail, international sourcing, international business and technology it will be an advantage

  • If previously worked with Asian partners/ suppliers, it will be an asset

  • Are able to think strategically, structure complex problems and define priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Display strong analytical skills and KPI focus

  • Have strong managerial skills

  • Are commercially and self-driven, are taking ownership

  • Present strong focus on operational efficiency and effectiveness

  • Understand well cultural differences in an international business
