We are looking for an experienced Manager that will be responsible for creating communication strategy and operational plan for new and existing Merchants.

In this role you will need to collaborate closely both within the Commerce team but also all other functions in the organization that impact Merchant experience and processes. On the organization side, this role will require you to identify, recruit & develop required capabilities and create a highly effective Team to execute and support you in delivering on your core responsibilities.

This is an opportunity to have a high level of accountability, visibility, credibility and empowerment, which will allow you to influence the way we develop our business and drive our leadership in the area of Merchant acquisition and activation. 

What will your main responsibilities include?

  • Developing strategic objectives and an operational plan for Merchant Communication. Communicating and cascading the vision to the immediate organization as well x-functionally in an engaging way, translating it to actionable plan for managed teams

  • Identifying and recruiting necessary capabilities to execute the vision and the plan

  • Managing Merchant communication budgets and ensuring a high level of effectiveness of the spend

  • Working in the high complex multifunction team set-up, accommodating for multiple communication needs from other Allegro business units

  • Close collaboration with the Tech team on defining requirements and development of communication tools used

Specifically, you and your team will work on 2 core communication pillars:

1. New Merchants Communication:

  • Defining what Allegro should stand for in the eyes of both Polish and International entrepreneurs

  • Defining and verbalizing the value proposition of Allegro towards Polish and International Merchants

  • Defining most effective communication channels to reach both Polish and international entrepreneurs in order to build awareness and interest in starting business on Allegro

  • Developing creative ideas and executional materials to be used in the communication with Allegro Merchants-to-be

  • Building new partnerships with external companies / regulatory bodies to drive pipeline of existing and new companies to join Allegro

2. Current Merchant Communication:

  • Define existing Merchant communication strategy (what Merchant needs to know - what is optional and what is critical information for Merchant to effectively perform the business on the platform)

  • Define how communication is delivered (what are the right channels, what is the right amount of information, what is the tone of voice / character of information delivered, how we pace information to Merchant)

  • Create a communication framework and align KPIs for the process and for the participating functions

  • Propose the roadmap of product interventions that would support strategy and process execution

  • Ongoingly coordinate communication flow to Merchants, set an ongoing performance and quality process to guard effectiveness KPIs

We are looking for people who:

  • Have 10 years of experience in marketing communication strategy and execution

  • Are experienced in brand building, marketing mix optimization, performance marketing

  • Have commercial experience of key business processes in retail

  • Display outstanding ability in building and managing effective, result-oriented teams

  • Have the ability to collaborate and drive alignment on Top Management level with external partners

  • Present exceptional persuasion and influencing skills

  • Have strong leadership skills with the ability to challenge status quo

  • Own strong analytical skills

  • Are process oriented, with the ability to understand and operate within complex process set-up 

  • Communicate flawlessly in Polish and English
