Job Description

AGS is a complex and rapidly growing global business division of the Allegis Group. It requires a Commercial Finance Manager (CFM) to support the regional Director of Financial Operations (DFO) in EMEA, with a view to maximizing the business value and returns to the ultimate owner.

The position will require coaching and mentoring of the Commercial Business Partners (CBP), a strong focus on Business Development Support as well as enhancements and improvements to controls, process, procedures and practices within the financial and legal framework.

The business requires strong financial and commercial leader, able to balance the longer-term planning with immediate execution and an outcome driven approach.

Role Overview

  • Reporting to the Director of Financial Operations, will lead the Commercial Business Partners, providing on the job coaching, mentorship and focus on professional development of the team.
  • A strong focus on supporting Business Development, through understanding of Legal capabilities and Operational Delivery. Will work with CBPs and DFO to provide Commercial representation on new business engagements.
  • Review and develop, in conjunction with DFO and regional Leadership Team, value-based pricing to support growth and long-term profitability of the region.
  • Develop, in conjunction with the DFO, strategies and the tactics for business growth and continuous improvement related to the efficiency and financial management of the region.
  • Support the DFO to manage the budgets and forecasts for the region and ensure that accurate monthly management accounts are prepared for the Leadership Team. Including improving forecasting process, use of data analytics and system enhancements to drive accuracy and efficiency through the business.
  • Ensure that all those involved with AGS in the commercial management, pricing and contracts, and finance and accounting organisations throughout EMEA are being constantly developed and trained to enhance their full capability and the productivity of the function.

Qualifications

  • CIMA or ACCA qualified with comprehensive post-qualified experience in senior finance business partnership / commercial analyst roles
  • Ability to develop and coach a team of commercial business partners,
  • Supporting the DFO in all aspects of new business acquisition, financial control & reporting – including process automation and data usages – commercial & risk management.
  • Prior experience in leading and managing in a complex, geographically dispersed environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the financial activities, policies and processes of a substantial company.
  • Proven understanding of contemporary accounting, financial modelling, risk management and business systems.
  • Demonstrate experience in implementing and managing performance management networks.
  • Ability to initiate and lead the sharing of best practice.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in negotiation and business management from a financial perspective.
  • Performance driven, accountable and a demonstrated ability to maintain a strong bottom line focus during a period of growth and change.
  • Experienced in communicating and implementing the financial vision and direction for a geographically diverse business.
