Job Description

Responsible for identifying, analyzing, and developing new business opportunities or expanding current business within an Operation or large contracts or Program areas. Directs research and analysis, and develops marketing programs. Establishes customer contacts and develops white papers, proposals and marketing presentations with support from Program Managers and technical staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

Analyzes the market and market opportunities, recommends opportunities for pursuit. Researches public domain materials to develop leads, contacts, and capture plans.

Develops relationships with client executives and markets the company¿s capabilities.

Participates in industry groups and conferences to represent and promote the company¿s capabilities.

Develops proposals, solutions, white papers, business plans, and marketing materials.

Prepares new business proposals, and responses to requests for proposal (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs). 

Works with other departments to transition new clients from contract to program implementation. 

Manages weekly reporting and analysis of the business development pipeline, including development of company business development presentations as required. 

Develops and maintains working relationships with similar and/or complementary companies to include teaming and partnership discussions.

Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies in order to successfully meet client requirements.

Complies with all corporate policies and procedures, including quality assurance and security procedures in the performance of duties.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related discipline plus 5 to 8 years of directly related experience in a government contracting environment including supervisory/management experience.

Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.

 Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Good research and analysis skills and customer focus combined with knowledge current products and services provided, utilized to identify current and future needs of current customers.

Good peer relationships and decision making skills to combine capabilities with other program or Division areas to provide additional products or services to common customers of both areas.

Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint & Excel).

A security clearance of an appropriate level is required after employment.
