Job Description

The Alion Electronic Warfare (EW) team in Dayton Ohio is seeking an experienced systems engineer to provide support to a variety of aircraft programs with emphasis on EW systems, sensors, and weapons system integration. Experience related to EW system integration is of particular interest. Position requires in-depth knowledge of USAF acquisition of aircraft weapon systems. Knowledge of DOD 5000 series, AFI 63 series, and JCIDS requirements process as it applies to electronic warfare is preferred. Experience working with system engineering and weapon system integration tasks related to acquisition programs is required. Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology to include applying principles, techniques, procedures and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

Responsibilities range from providing systems/specialty engineering and technical analyses for assigned acquisition activities to ensuring consistent interpretation/application of policy and guidance to meet system/subsystem requirements; to include compliance with OSS&E and life cycle systems engineering requirements.   These efforts include close technical coordination with government laboratories, program offices and their suppliers in all areas of subsystem design, development, integration and test.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree (masters degree desired) in system engineering, electrical engineering or related technical field and 10 years experience in defense electronic systems engineering is required.

Particular experience and knowledge sought in the areas of radar warning receiver subsystem, countermeasures, and integration into aircraft weapon systems.

Applicant must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be a self-starter who can operate successfully with minimal supervision.

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and must possess a SECRET security clearance (TOP SECRET desired) before hire.
