Job Description

 

Job Description:
To make purchases requested by the Bauxite business regarding the demands of services, intermediaries and indirect applying the Supply Chain policies, standards and procedures, ensuring all processes and operations of the area are aligned and consistent. Following the global guidelines related to each contract accomplished, seeking alignment with the business needs and the best strategy for Alcoa.

Main activities:

Managing commercial contracts under the position’s responsibility by analyzing the best options regarding the renegotiation of any current contracts, extension of deadlines or starting new bidding;
Go over critical scopes’ analysis and descriptions received as well as suggesting models of hiring in partnership with the technical area in to increase competitiveness, reduce costs and/or improve the quality of the processes/services rendered seeking gains for the company;

Coordinating technical visits with the suppliers participating in bidding processes;
Establish and execute contract management by evaluating the key performance of KPI's established in the contracts.

Analyzing commercial proposals defining the best supplier for the service provided and equipment supply with the focus on TCO – Total Cost ownership;
Analyze and decide the best options of hiring and its respective risks, identifying which is the best to be applied in each situation negotiating with suppliers, seeking the best commercial settings for the Company;

Taking care of supplier contracts, ensuring the performance of services and equipment delivery.
Comply with SLA's internal agreements, ensuring the performance of the services offered and  provided.
Managing supplier’s contracts ensuring the service and equipment delivery performance, aligned with the standards of the Supply Chain excellence;
Identifying improvement needs of developing projects to ensure the productivity and high performance of the processes of the working cell by observing these variables: Leverage, Scope, Cost, Productivity, Resources, Term, Durability And Quality.

 

Qualifications
Degree in administration or engineering. 
Solid experience in hiring services, preferably in the mining/aluminum segment. 
FLUENT ENGLISH LANGUAGE IS A MUST
Oracle knowledge, Advanced Power Point, SharePoint and Advanced Excel
Must be available to reside in a remote area in Amazônia.
