Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual who is ready to take the next step in their career and become a key member of our audit team based at our Booragoon office. The role has been advertised at the Supervisor level however, the final job role will be dependent on the experience of the selected candidate.

As Audit Supervisor/Senior Internal Auditor – Finance and Business Processes, you will make an important contribution to Alcoa by providing professional evaluation and improvement advice on internal control systems.

Your key responsibilities will include:-

  • Leading and completing Financial Audits in Australia and Southern Europe
  •  Providing recommendations and advice on improvements in control systems,   business processes and use of resources
  • Performing the role of audit team leader and co-ordinator when assigned
  • Participating in departmental process improvement teams.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will possess tertiary qualifications in the Commerce/Business field and will ideally have previous experience conducting internal or external audits and/or will have also worked within the finance or accounting business.  In this role, the skills to lead and coach teams is essential and you will be required to have a pro-active work approach with the ability to effectively prioritise, make decisions and work to tight deadlines. 

You must be able to demonstrate excellent communications skills, strong analytical, evaluation skills and the ability to deliver credible advice to all levels of the organisation. It is expected that over time the successful candidate’s career path will include a move into the finance, accounting or operational side of the business.
