Job Description

The Process Engineer is responsible for developing the smelter parameters, as well as performing the technical follow-ups in order to optimize the production system. He/she shall maintain close contact with production, handling/transport, maintenance and engineering in the context of management and follow-ups on the modifications and products that affect the product line. The individual must fully understand all aspects of the materials, equipment, processes, and procedures and facilitate change to achieve the maximum achievable output from a business standpoint. The process engineer must work closely with the production organization and be available 24/7 for resolution of issues. The process engineer must be a leader and facilitator of change. The process engineer must also work closely) to stay competent with existing and new technologies. The process engineer strives to be viewed as an integral part of the organization and respected as technical specialist in the field.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • BS in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science/Metallurgic.
  • 3 years of Engineering Experience.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience in Aluminum Smelting process.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated organized approach for data management and analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and execute on difficult projects of significant impact to location.
