Job Description

Engineer will work with all department managers to drive manufacturing improvements in the entire facility utilizing ABS principles. Position will be the liaison between Intalco and Continuous Improvement team to drive operational excellence and growth, using ABS principles focused in reducing manufacturing costs, improve stability, increase productivity, improve metal quality and reduce environmental impact of the Plant. The success in this role is critical to improve the profitability of the location.

-    In collaboration with the CoE and location, identify areas for improvement and opportunities for knowledge          transfer in and out and provide the support to execution;
-    Drive continuous improvement through the consistent implementation of ABS, planning systems and                  management systems
-    Deploy Department’s Daily Management Systems, Shift’s Management System, Task Management System,      Standardization Work, Help Chain and Reaction Plans
-    ABS expert and implementer through continuous assessment, feedback and action plans.
-    Train all levels of the organization in the ABS principles.
-    Coach various Department Managers in ABS to drive operational improvement (operation, maintenance &          functional)
-    Apply Best practices and facilitate rapid transfer of improvements across the location
-    Conduct Operational Excellence and Reliability assessments, analyze deviations from standards and                  facilitate strategic problem solving
-    Link action plans with the DI system and drive results to the bottom line
-    Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, TPM and TQM methodology to drive continuous improvement



Qualifications

Basic:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field

5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

3+ years of experience in continuous improvement roles with strong understanding of lean manufacturing

Preferred:

Leadership and management skills

Thorough understanding of financial concepts

Strong communication skills

Ability to influence others & deliver results without authority

Project management skills
