This internship opportunity will involve material and process development for the Alcoa Technical Center.  The work will potentially include but not be limited to ceramic powder synthesis, powder processing, materials
characterization, materials processing development, materials performance testing.

During this internship, the candidate will be assigned a moderately complex project designed to contribute technologically to the candidate’s assigned group.  This project will involve research of current technology, assistance in experimental design, execution of experiment and the collection, organization and presentation of
data. The candidate will be accountable for the defined project as assigned by their supervisor.  The work will culminate in an internal formal written report authored or co-authored by the student.

Basic Qualifications:

A sophomore level or above student in chemical engineering, materials science, ceramic engineering or science discipline with strong organization, math and writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

A junior level or above student in chemical engineering, materials science, ceramic engineering or science discipline with strong organization, math and writing skills.

Minimum Education Required: High School or GED

Minimum Years of Experience:  Entry Level – 0 years of experience
