Job Description

The primary purpose of the position is to be an integral part of global team with specific accountability in the Order to Cash systems solutions related to manufacturing, shipping execution, cost management, planning, and quality. This role spans across all business sectors of Alcoa; bauxite, alumina, and aluminum. Primarily the existing solutions are deployed on Oracle Enterprise Applications Suite including Oracle Process Manufacturing and Order Management.

The employee participate as an internal consultant to Alcoa’s businesses and various customer groups to understand their business needs and guide them through solutions available. The role will interact with Alcoa's technical teams and/or the vendor to resolve technical decisions and/or issues.

Major Activities 

• Liaises with the locations manufacturing operations and commercial organizations, in particular business process owners and application key users of multiple regions and time zones
• Directs developer group on- and offshore on new developments, enhancements and remediation work
• Partners with software provider for software releases, upgrades and remediation needs
• Provide secondary support to colleagues within the IT Order to Cash Systems group
• Provides expertise to internal customer on functional design specifications
• Ensures sufficient technical documentation
• Manages IT system change control processes
• Manages small to medium sized implementation projects through analysis, design, build, test and deployment
• Manages software standardization and supports cross region application rollouts
• Provide reactionary support and preventive maintenance on systems and interfaces in assigned areas of responsibility, with minimal supervision
• Identifies improvement areas and drive changes to technology enabled best practice
• Identifies training needs with respect to the managed applications; supports user application training
• Operate within Alcoa IS standards, follow appropriate methodologies, support and compliance processes and procedures
• Manage Service Level Agreement (SLA) processes in assigned areas of responsibility as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Math, Finance, or Engineering from an accredited institution
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• English language necessary

Additional Information

• Experience with IT systems and manufacturing processes (could be from internship)
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and flows
• Experience in Oracle Enterprise Business Suite
• Working knowledge in project management; understanding of systems analysis, design, and programming techniques
• Strong analytical skills; ability to identify and resolve issues
