Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the project ledger accounts by monitoring; preparing monthly entries and reconciling accounts monthly. Maintain controls over project ledger
- Cash planning cycle – cash collection and deposit, cash budgeting, cash payments
- Act as a mentor within the finance organization
- Records and analyzes different accounting and cost procedures and controls related to assigned tasks
- Interprets various accounts related data, analyzes financial reports and recommends and/or initiates the necessary actions to be taken
- Verifies accuracy of data and data processing of accounting related information.
- Full responsibility for items billed and accounts receivable, including invoicing, cash receipts, etc.
- Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy, applying observations and recommendations to operational issues
- Maintains financial security by establishing internal controls

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field
- 3 – 5 years’ experience with Cost Point
- In depth Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Knowledge and skill in work supervising methods and techniques
- Familiar with the use of computerized accounting systems, financial software applications and Microsoft Word and Excel
- An ideal candidate will come from a Government Contracting background.
