Job Description

As a key member of the Global Integrated Demand team, the Content Marketing Manager will help shape Akeneo’s messaging, identify content marketing opportunities and gaps, lead the creation of content across various formats, develop and implement editorial and production processes, and help support Akeneo’s demand generation and awareness efforts. Leveraging market trends and alignment to the Go To Market plan, you’ll develop and execute the content marketing needs across the buyer’s journey and key personas. This role will collaborate across the marketing team and be an integral part of ensuring consistency and alignment across regions.

The successful candidate will have excellent writing and communication skills, a creative eye, and an in-depth understanding of adapting content to B2B buyers across various channels and buying stages.

The Kinds of Things You’ll Do

  • As lead content creator, develop clear and engaging content that is consistent with Akeneo’s brand, product, and image. Address both business goals and buyer needs
  • Spearhead development and create content across a variety of mediums - whitepapers, e-books, case studies, one-pagers, video, blogs, infographics, surveys, PowerPoint slides, email, advertisements, etc.
  • Create and manage the content calendar that is aligned to Akeneo’s global campaign strategy and integrated marketing approach
  • Collaborate with product marketing and internal SMEs to ensure inclusion of the Akeneo product solutions in your work.
  • Establish workflow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content from our content inventory
  • Identify opportunities to repurpose and repackage content in order to amplify the message, visibility, and lead generation
  • Develop and manage the marketing playbook across various campaigns to include messaging and assets to leverage across personas, buying stage, and channel/tactic
  • Collaborate with marketing agencies to align on SEO and content strategy and develop a plan to fill gaps. Conduct regular content audits to ensure coverage across use cases, persona, buyers journey, and channel/tactic
  • Stay up to date on market trends and relevant industry news to suggest new content based on objectives, channel/tactic, and past performance
  • Develop and manage Akeneo’s blog strategy and execution to include development of an editorial calendar, collaboration with blog contributors, and writing and posting of final content appropriate channels to amplify both internally and externally
  • Collaborate with Akeneo’s Global Marketing Campaigns Manager to ensure consistent messaging and content usage across our email marketing
  • Work with the extended marketing team to collaborate on key projects, launches, and campaigns as the key contributor for messaging needs, content development, and final reviews
  • Identify content performance KPIs and continue to refine the content strategies based on performance metrics
  • Ensure best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style to ensure consistency of content with professional quality standards, brand, and tone.
  • Identify need for, source, and manage contracts with vendors and freelancers to scale content creation needs
  • Optimize all content for SEO

Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience writing and developing content for high-tech B2B marketing
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with samples to share
  • Well versed in SEO and up to date on the latest technologies and best practices
  • A creative storyteller with a passion for technology and the impact it has on business
  • A deep understanding of integrated marketing tactics and how to adapt content and messaging accordingly
  • Strong project management skills and effective communication skills to collaborate cross-functionally with various stakeholders
  • Results-oriented with a deep sense of accountability and the ability to drive large projects with urgency from start to finish, achieving the intended business impact
  • Entrepreneurial and enthusiastic about navigating and succeeding in a rapidly evolving business
