Job Title: InterBase Admin & Developer
Location: Remote
Type: Contract 

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced InterBase Admin and Developer to support our direct client. This role requires someone who can manage and maintain the InterBase platform while also supporting the Sales team with custom, ad-hoc reporting needs. The ideal candidate should be comfortable wearing both database administration and development hats.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Administer and maintain InterBase databases
•    Monitor performance, perform tuning, and ensure high availability
•    Manage user access, security, backups, and recovery
•    Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts
•    Work directly with Sales leadership to deliver ad-hoc reports
•    Analyze data and provide insights as needed
•    Collaborate with other technical and business teams

Required Skills:
•    Hands-on experience with InterBase (or similar RDBMS like Firebird)
•    Strong SQL development skills
•    Experience in database administration (backups, monitoring, security)
•    Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
•    Experience with reporting tools or Excel-based reporting (nice to have)

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
•    Experience in Delphi environments
•    Familiarity with Firebird, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
•    Understanding of sales/business data and KPIs
•    Reporting experience using Excel, Power BI, or Crystal Reports
