Location: New York, NY, United States

Duration: 12 Months contract- 7.5 hour day

Critical Key requirements 

·         A minimum of 7-10 years GIS System Specialist experience  

·         A minimum 2-3 years working experience with Railroad business

·         Minimum 5 years hands-on experience of IT experience in supporting ESRI GIS software, Portal of ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop             

·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Qualifications EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

• Minimum 5-10 years as GIS system specialist
• Minimum 5 years of well-rounded business application support & development experience
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience of IT experience in supporting ESRI GIS software, Portal of ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop
• Minimum of 2-3 years' working knowledge in Railroad and/or Bus operation

• Minimum of 2-3 years' hands-on experience with Infor-EAM (Enterprise Asset Management), and/or one of the Bentley product tools

• Ability to modify/adapt systems, software configurations, and programs to meet business requirements.
• Understanding of complex relational database organization, design, and functionality
• Experience in desktop / mobile computer support and troubleshooting software related problems
• Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skill in relating technical information to non-technical personnel

SKILLS & Requirements

• Minimum of 5-7 years Software Development experience in one or more of the following languages: HTML, JavaScript, CSS, C#, VB, C++, Python, Java, or Objective-C
• 5+ years of advanced expertise with MS SQL Server / Oracle for versioned enterprise geodatabase
• Experience in configuring/implementing/customizing GIS web viewers
• Experience in administering/configuring/implementing/customizing Portal for ArcGIS
• Experience with IIS configuration including SSL/HTTPS with Reverse Proxy
• Moderate proficiency with Python and ArcPy
• Experience developing RESTful web services
• Experience creating ArcGIS Server geoprocessing services
