We have an exciting opportunity to join our Market Development team as Trade Marketing Manager. This role is based in our Sydney office and is a fixed term contract for 9-months.
About the role:
Reporting to the Market Development Manager, you’ll lead the development and delivery of trade marketing strategies and activity that drives partner engagement, strengthens preference for Air New Zealand and supports commercial growth in the Australian market.
Working across key trade partners and online travel agents (OTAs), you’ll develop integrated campaigns, partnership activity, incentives, trade communications and channel initiatives that bring our commercial and brand priorities to life.
You’ll combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, working closely with internal stakeholders, agencies and partners to take activity from insight and planning through to execution, measurement and optimisation.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills will be essential. You’ll be confident, resilient and adaptable, comfortable challenging the status quo and focused on delivering results.
About the team:
The AU Market Development team is tasked with driving commercial success of the business through marketing strategy & initiatives across the consumer and trade channels. What you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience developing and driving marketing strategies and campaigns at a strategic level, from insight and planning through to execution, optimisation and measurement
- Passionate about building brands that connect and resonate with the Australian market, while disrupting and capturing the hearts and minds of customers
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience building strong relationships across internal teams, agencies and external partners
- Experience in partnership marketing, with a demonstrated history of partnership management, planning, campaign implementation and management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across different audiences and levels of the business
- Experience managing marketing budgets and evaluating campaign effectiveness and return on investment
- Experience in applying trends, and industry, market, and customer insights to shape marketing strategies
- Strong commercial acumen and experience using data, customer and market insights to inform marketing decisions and drive measurable results
- Strong understanding of the Australian market, consumer, and travel industry
- Ability to work flexibly in dynamic environments, with the ability to engage & communicate with stakeholders across the business
- Demonstrated experience planning and delivering events, conferences and industry activations, including end-to-end coordination, stakeholder management and executive support
- Experience providing day-to-day guidance, prioritisation and support to junior team members, helping to coordinate workload and support their development
- University graduate with 5+ years of marketing and communications experience
