As our Recruitment & Vetting Coordinator (People Specialist), you'll play a key role in creating a seamless candidate experience while helping us attract and hire exceptional people who deliver outstanding experiences for our customers.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract opportunity to join our Talent Acquisition team who connect great people with great opportunities every day. Working alongside recruiters who lead Cabin Crew and Airports recruitment, you'll help keep our hiring process moving, ensuring every candidate receives a professional, engaging and efficient experience. What you'll do:
- Support our TA team with all aspects of candidate engagement, primarily across our Cabin Crew and Airports portfolios
- Coordinate and attend recruitment events and interviews, ensuring every interaction reflects the Air New Zealand experience
- Manage candidate communications and support them through each stage, from application and assessment through to vetting and offer.
- Processing high volumes of candidates and data through our recruitment software SmartRecruiters to ensure we meet targets and timelines
- Provide backup support for vetting and onboarding activities, helping deliver a smooth transition from candidate to new starter.
What we're looking for
We are looking for a junior recruiter who enjoys working as part of a fast paced, high-volume team. A can-do attitude and willingness to support where required to achieve our goal of hiring the best talent is key. In return you will gain some great experience that will benefit your career while working alongside a great team.
You'll ideally bring:
- Some experience in recruitment – internal or agency
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to prioritise while maintaining accuracy
- A genuine passion for delivering an outstanding candidate experience.
- Confidence working with and picking up new technology
- A proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to support the wider team wherever needed.
